REPORT
“My Promise To
Nature”
Our Motto: ‘Save Nature, Save Future’
We launched our project
on 5th August. Our Science teacher, Mrs. Jyothi, briefed us about our project.
She sorted the students into four groups and assigned the students different
duties which they were capable of. This was on 8th August.
Group 1 did the surveying of plants
and classified them into three categories. Group 2 did a final checking, typed
the details and printed it. Group 3 collected details, made a summary of our
project and prepared a seminar. Group 4 brought medicinal plants saplings and
planted them.
Group 1 started the surveying on 9th August. Members of
the group collected names of plants and trees inside the school compound.
On August 12th, the surveying was completed. Group 1 made
a survey report of plants and trees. Group 3 started preparing for the seminar.
Members started collecting details from magazines, newspapers etc
The leader collected these details
and prepared for the seminar. The group had also made a power point
presentation based on which the seminar was to be conducted.
On
16th August, the power point was displayed by Group 3. On 17th
August, Group 2 members talked to a subject expert about the classification of
plants. As our lessons had to be completed, the project was discontinued till
16th September.
On
16th September, the seminar was conducted on the topic “Challenges
faced and strategies for Conservation of Nature”. Different students came up
with different ideas. With that, we came to an end of the seminar.
On
18th September, we decided what plants were to be brought. Members
of Group 4 were given the names of medicinal plants that they had to bring.
We
planted the saplings on 30th September. We watered plants daily and looked
after the plants in our ‘Oushadi’ garden.
